PermissionsOVERVIEW Each time a User selects or lands on a page, the User's log-in status is confirmed. Therefore, all Users of this website fall into one of two categories — Visitors or Members — which confirms or denies your request to view the page. If you land on a page that is reserved for members, you'll be prompted to log in or sign up. VISITORS If you are not logged in on your current device, your identity is not confirmed and you are considered a Visitor. As such, you have access to all Public pages, which is the first (and only) of three major page types Visitors are permitted to access. MEMBERS If a User is logged in, that User is considered a Member and as such, can access all Public, Members-Only, and of course their own Private pages. PAGE PERMISSIONS There are three (3) levels of permissions when landing on a page and viewing its content. 1. Public Anyone can view and share Public pages. The majority of pages hosted by this website are public and all of them behave uniquely based on whether the User is a Visitor or a Member, some of which can even be determined and experimented with by the Member (page's author). Members can view and do more on any page, especially Public pages. 2. Members-Only These pages are restricted to Users who are currently logged in. In all cases where Members-Only setting is applied, the page's purpose is exclusive to Members. Log in and sign up are free and take only a few clicks. 3. Private For your eyes only ("FYEO"): These are account-level pages for an individual site member that can only be accessed by that Member (you). Private pages are where a Member (you) manages their private, confidential, and manages their public information and settings.

UploadsThis topic plays a major role in Roller Louisiane's website's purpose and overall mission. Uploads are any videos, images, audio, or related data or files, that you select and transfer to us for use on this website. Jump to this topic's See Also for related vocabulary. What are Uploads? If you are a Visitor (not logged in), you will not see Upload functionality because Upload buttons are disabled and hidden until log in is confirmed. After you log in or sign up, the site will reassess your status and adjust to full member functionality. If you're already logged in (Member), Uploads always start with a click of an Upload button, which is identified by its unique plus-sign icon ("+"). Upon click, you'll have options that vary by the device you're using but the principle remains the same: Step 1: Select & Send the File(s) Selecting and sending the file or file(s) you wish to upload: This happens in your device's own native window for browsing images, videos, and files based on your device's operating system. In select instances, a page you're using may restrict your choices by file type (videos only or images only) or by total number of files you can select at a time (1). Step 2: • SEE ALSO • CONCEPTS AND TERMINOLOGIES By using this website, you confirm your own understanding and acceptance of the following concepts and terminologies ("CONCEPTS"). Devices & DimensionsDevices refers to Internet-capable computers and include desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobiles. Dimensions are helpful for both designers and non-designers alike. Common Resolutions confirm (1) best practices for sizing and (2) size minimums, and (3) use pixels, a common unit of measurement. Uploads vs DownloadsWhen you click on an upload button, you initiate a familiar process for anyone who has ever had to use a computer, smartphone, or other device: selecting an image, video, audio clip, or document from your device and transferring it to the Internet. Uploading refers to your actions when selecting and transferring data from your device to the Internet. Downloading refers to selecting and receiving data from the Internet to your device. Uploads and Files are both plural nouns that are used interchangeably to refer to any data such as videos, images, audio recordings, documents, including text, that originates from your device that you have chosen and transferred to this website. Per this website's Terms and Conditions, which all Users accept when anyone uses this website, all Uploads and Files authored by a site member are available for public use—meaning, Uploads and Files can be viewed, shared, downloaded and altered, used by other site members, organizations, and businesses, for personal and commercial use.

Users: Visitors vs MembersBehind the scenes and before we display a page, we quickly confirm whether or not a User (you) is currently logged in on the Device being used. If you're logged in, you're a Member. If not, you're a Visitor. Based on this distinction, each page is coded to react differently and tailor your experience accordingly. Learn more about this concept and terminologies below. Users is an umbrella term for anyone and all persons using this website or part thereof. Visitors are Users who are not logged in on their current Device. Visitors may opt to log in or sign up to confirm their login status. All Users must use a valid email address and confirm via email before their status is confirmed and the User is logged in as a Member. Members are Users who have confirmed their email addresses and are considered currently logged in on their Device. Each Member has a series of Account pages for managing sensitive and private details as well as Profilo pages for the community and sharing publicly.
